"My primary motivation in founding Moving by Design is my desire to share my design solutions to help you sell your house more quickly and receive higher offers. It is stressful to have a home on the market, so the quicker we can get it sold, the better! I truly love home staging and I want to use that passion to help others."
Michele began her design career designing interior accessories for retail stores and catalogues. This experience, along with her love for interior design, naturally led her into the field of home staging. She has been extensively trained, receiving both her ASP and HSR certifications in home staging and interior redesign. She is also a member of the IAHSP (International Association of Home Staging Professionals) and the ASHSR (American Society of Home Stagers and Redesigners). Having moved 14 times, she has personal experience to accompany her extensive training.
Michele has lived in the Raleigh area for 14 years and she loves it here! She has 2 children and has just finished homeschooling her youngest son. She loves being involved in her church, where she is on the board for her church’s women’s group, as well as being actively involved in their Missions Committee. She has the privilege of delivering food to local food banks, helping with home repair for those who are unable, and volunteering in the WIHN program (Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network), which hosts and cares for homeless families who are trying to get back on their feet. She was even fortunate enough to be able to go on a week long mission trip to Mississippi to help repair homes which still remain damaged since hurricane Katrina.
She loves spending time with her husband outdoors, where they enjoy hiking, kayaking, and camping. Some of her hobbies include arts and crafts, knitting, refinishing furniture, and yard sale/ thrift store shopping (She likes to call it treasure hunting!).
